Zealous for God while working for Satan?

Paul’s recorded defence account before the Jews (Acts 22)

Paul was a believer in Judaism.
Paul was sincere in Judaism.
Paul was zealous for God in Judaism.
Paul was educated in Judaism.
Paul had witnesses who knew he was zealous and educated in Judaism.

Paul’s conversion,

Paul was miraculously called by Jesus (Acts 9).
Paul was “born out of due time” (1 Cor. 15:8).
Paul went to Damascus in order to be told what to do.
Paul obeyed the gospel (immersed in water - 9:18, 22:16).
Paul became productive for the church of Christ.

Practical Application,

We may be zealous for God. We may be educated in denominational doctrines and traditions (1 Tim. 4:1-2). And we may be sincere, ignorantly persecuting those pertaining to the Way (Gal. 1:13). Yet like Paul, though no longer miraculously “called out” to obedience. None the less through the medium of the Scriptures we must obey with our thinking minds that form of doctrine (Rom. 6:17) which can deliver us out of darkness and into the Light of Jesus Christ (1 Pt. 2:9). The gospel (Rom. 1:16).

We must deny ourselves (Lk. 9:23). Change our minds (Rom. 12:2). And count the cost (Lk. 14:28).

"Whoever believes and is immersed..." Mk. 16:16

A believer changing mind about what he or she has always practiced. Now confessing Christ as Lord and Master, King and Ruler. Qualifies to the “keys.” The conditions of faith (Heb. 11:6). Individually accountable and intellectually capable. Commanded to be buried in water calling on the authority of Christ for the forgiveness of sins and entrance into His church (Rom. 6:3-4, Acts 2:41, 47). Clothed (Gal. 3:26-27).

Will you be zealous for God while working for Satan? Or will you receive the truth (Jn. 8:32) and become a Christian (Jn. 3:3, 3-5)? You have freewill to chose (Ps. 54:6). Chose wisely. This existence on earth is but a vapour (Js. 4:14). Here this day. Gone tomorrow. There is no second chance in the afterlife (Heb. 9:27).

God loves you (Jn. 3:16). Will you love Him back? (John 14:15). Enough to be saved by grace through faith? (Eph. 2:8-9). Even the faith of a thief? (Lk. 23:43).

We simply pray seeking souls journey with us to heaven on that soon coming faithful Day (2 Thess. 1).

Your servant,
SM

"Water Baptism, Saves?"

In 1 Peter 3:21, we see the explicit inspired words of Peter the Apostle of Jesus the Christ. Was he teaching the Christians of the 1st Century that they were saved by "water?" What exactly did Peter mean within the context? This and more we explore in this exclusive LOCALS podcast session.

"POLITICS"

Our p0latiks in a quick and simple Five Point Solution;

As Faithful Christians Governed by the Words of the Holy Spirit,

WE ARE...

1. Pro-Christ: All public sectors of service, power, influence, and leadership (i.e., Government, Corporation, Academics, Entertainment, and Media) should favour the upright moral policy found within the doctrine of Christ.

2. Pro-Life: from conception to natural death, we must protect the sovereignty of human existence from child to senior at all costs.

3. Pro-family, one M and one F, H&W, with prayerfully the blessing of children, must be protected, endorsed, encouraged, and kept secure at all costs.

4. Pro-SD: to honour the God-given liberty and freedom to secure one's life, household, and property in all decency and just conduct.

5. Pro-law: justice, order, border, and National safety to live life peacefully for the cause of Christ and the greater good of His kingdom.

We could expound much more on this 5-point formula; if you'd like to hear more, I have a link to several...

Rescued - Transferred - Redeemed
The Kingdom of His beloved Son

You've fallen asleep comfy in your bed, and a fire started in your house. You wake to panic as you become aware of your surroundings, trapped by a wall of lavalike heat. You find yourself in danger, where smoke and flames threaten your life. Your neighbors were capable of seeing the threat and had since called for help. The firefighters arrive on the scene and immediately find you in your bedroom--time for a rescue. Are you yet seen in a location of satety? No, not yet. There still needs to be a transfer from the site of dakness, smoke, and fire to an area of light, fresh air, and safety. And so the firefighters guide you out of certain death into a secure location. You have now been saved, not without damage, trauma, and loss. But you've gained your life and get to learn fowared another day.

You've become idle in your sinful behavior and practices. You wake to panic as you become aware of your eternal punishment. A neighbor cares for you enough to share Jesus with you. Will you obey the gospel?

The reception of forgivness was the desired result of all who willfully gave their lives to Christ, submissive to His spiritual operation (Col. 2:11-12). Paul, the apostle, speaking to his brethren in Colossae, was accurate in reminding them of their reconciliation. And how the Word of God they had chosen to hear produced fruit for the Kingdom. The Kingdom was God's preplanned location where all found within would have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.

A domain needs a King, Christ Jesus. A Kingdom has boundaries, borders, law and order, and justice. This Kingdom is of a peculiar kind, and we should all seek first legal citizenry (Mt. 6:33). His Kingdom is the body, the church (Col. 2:1,18,24). The body for it has organic members all united for the purposed function--the church fo its assembly, it's family. The way in? Being a repentant believer confessing Christ, immersed into water calling on His name, in order to receive the forgiveness of your sins, being added to His Kingdom, local assembly (i.e. "rescued, transferred, redeemed").

This good news of Jesus Christ "was proclaimed in all creation" to give humankind a way out of the flames and sinful consequences. And we are wise to hear its call.

Is your house on fire?
